Anderson Cattle Company began by backgrounding lightweight calves that were sold as feeders through Superior Livestock Auction Video. It evolved into a full time registered Angus cattle business as the legumes and cool season grasses that originally planted and nurtured, matured and provided an extended grazing season with minimal hay requirements.
Our cattle are functional with a moderate frame and are adaptable to grass based ranching. We believe, along with good genetics, multi-min vitamin injections, rigorous worming program that alternates to protect dung beetles and a year round mineral mix is a foundation to our success.
We diligently study the phenotype and genotype of each female before breeding her. Our goal is to match our females with a superior carcass bull that nearly always result in a calf that is better than its mother. This quest for excellence originally began over 50 years ago when Sam purchased his first Angus calf with the proceeds from picking cotton by hand and a loan from a visionary and sympathetic banker. It has never waivered.
We have become close friends with many of buyers from around the country and enjoy sharing new ideas and success stories. Come visit us - it might change your whole perspective on the cattle business.
